On Friday, April 27, 2107, Chris Wolf hosts Paula Apro and Karen Olson of Rockland’s Art Loft. Their mission is to enrich the local community through arts and education.
Their aim to make art accessible to everyone regardless of income, age, or experience level. Their art classes are offered in a wide variety of topics and they help make the commitment low by offering free supplies in most cases.
“We believe that there is a therapeutic benefit that art brings and it is our goal to offer the art experience to as many people as possible.”
The Art Loft is located at 385 Main Street in Rockland in suite #9 inside the Thorndike Building.
Paula Apro is one of the original founding members of the Art Loft along with Kathryn Matlack of Camden. Both Matlock and Apro have a deep passion for the arts and always dreamed of creating a community art center that would help make art accessible to everyone. They feel that art can be so powerful in people’s lives and they realize that many never even attempt to express their creativity, either because they don’t feel like they are artists, or because the opportunity never presented itself.
The Chris Wolf Show will be broadcast live on Wednesday, April 26, at 8 a.m. on WRFR Community Radio at 93.3 FM, MaineCoast TV on Time Warner Channel 7, BCTV Channel 2 in Belfast, and also on the web at mainecoast.tv/live.
The show will also be broadcast on Channel 7 after the live broadcast, as well as being available on mainecoast.tv.
The Chris Wolf Show is broadcast Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with news from penbaypilot.com, and is a joint venture between Penobscot Bay Pilot, WRFR and MaineCoast TV Channel 7.
