Many of us fancy ourselves as potential writers but don’t know how to get started or the ins and outs of writing and publishing, or the best way to tell a story.
Writing is more than just words and our guest on Friday, December 28, 2018 Chris Wolf Show is Kathrin Seitz, writing coach, teacher, editor and writer.
In her own words, here is what Kathrin Seitz is about: “
“I teach a process called Method Writing, developed by Jack Grapes, an award-winning poet, playwright, actor, teacher and editor/publisher of ONTHEBUS, a top literary journal. Method Writing deals with the inner voice and how it can be used to create unique works of art, true to your own voice and style, true to your own vision and point of view, true to your life experience — whether you’re writing poems, stories, novels, plays, screenplays, non-fiction, memoir or even creative shopping lists.
I have used Method Writing techniques as a form of healing and have taught workshops to cancer survivors. Studies have shown that when people are given the opportunity to write about physical and emotional upheavals, they often experience improved health and come away with a deeper understanding and affection for who they are. Writing allows us to tap into the uncluttered and unstructured aspect of ourselves. Writing can bring about a more profound understanding of life’s challenges and accelerate the journey toward optimal health and well-being. Expessive writing which involves writing down your deepest thoughts and feelings, has been shown to improve physical and psychological well-being.”
