Dear Friends,

Yesterday we had our first snow…not much, but it sure is pretty and it nicely sets the tone of the next month or so.

On Thanksgiving evening the star was once again lit atop nearby Mt. Battie. This wonderful tradition dates back over forty years; volunteers go up the mountain each evening and fill a small generator with gas that will power the star throughout the night until just a few hours before dawn. The star burns bright each evening until New Year’s Eve and is visible far and wide, even out to Matinicus Island, barely visible in the center of the star, below. It is a lovely part of life here.

We hope that you’ll stick with us while we get a little bit gallery-like for the next month or so. Our next few emails will share with you news about our gift certificate (which is, in itself, an original print of mine), the first announcement about our second limited-edition puzzle, a very exciting addition to my RAVEN WORKSHOP CRUISES and news about our collection of Andrew Wyeth’s limited-edition prints.

In the meantime, we are supremely grateful for the consistent outpouring of encouragement and care that so many of you have bestowed upon us this year. It means more than you might imagine.
