Or one might think it’s a cable for a crossing by the Flying Wallendas. But that would be wrong also.
Actually it’s a temporary boom made of blue and yellow pool noodles to prevent baby ducks and geese from inadvertently swimming too close to the top of the Knox Mill Dam, in Camden Maine., and going over the edge.
The ducks and geese join a large number of other animal and plant species calling the Millpond home.
