Businesses can become an integral part of our community through Maine Coast TV Sponsorships

Maine Coast TV is community television for Midcoast Maine.

We have a primary audience on Channel 7, Time Warner Cable, for Knox County, Maine, including the City of Rockland and the Towns of Camden, Cushing, Friendship, Owls Head, Rockport, St. George, South Thomaston, Thomaston, Union, Warren, and the islands of North Haven and Vinalhaven.  We also have a worldwide reach through our web page and streaming, which reaches people who are interested in our area because they are planning on traveling or relocating here, they are part time residents, or have family in the area.

We focus our programming on our communities, but we are also involved and interact with the communities.  We have a large amount of locally produced programming which rivals that of commercial stations. This programming includes “Reigning Cats and Dogs” pet show, “Out and About with Al Gardner”, “Maine Wicked Good Talent” with Rich Smalley, local history shows by Wayne Gray, Maine Music Hangout with Jessica and Mark Smalley, the Camden National Toboggan Races, and, in conjunction with WRFR Community Radio and PenBayPilot.com, the Chris Wolf Show.  Also from Charlie and Penny Crockett we feature “The Lobster Festival Parade and Coronation”, “At Auction with Kaja Veillieux”, “Going Places” as well as many local sports games.  We also have special programming throughout the year such as our Holiday Greetings from local merchants.

The strength of our programming has given us an increasingly greater visibility in these communities and can offer a very affordable way of businesses to communicate information about their businesses to a wide range of people in our communities.

For businesses, we offer (similar to PBS stations) an excellent “sponsorship” opportunity which is not a high pressure advertisement, but a vehicle to inform those in the community about what the business does, their unique products or services, to keep their name in front of members of the community, as well as to let members of the community know that these businesses are a supporter of community television.

We can give a whole month’s worth of exposure of the business to our communities for what a single advertisement might cost in traditional media.

Our sponsorships come in several levels, with different number of exposures:

Silver – $50 per month — a sponsorship message broadcast each day (30 per 30 day month).

Gold – $75 per month — two sponsorship messages per day (60 per 30 day month).

Platinum – $95 per month — three sponsorship messages per day (90 per 30 day month).

The sponsorship messages are 15 seconds long, will be played during station breaks, in conjunction with those of several other businesses.  We rotate the sponsorship messages for a particular business throughout the day to give a wide exposure.

Unlike commercial stations, we try limit the number of messages per day so that we maximize the community nature of our programming as well as keeping the sponsor’s messages as effective as possible.  Sponsorship is therefore subject to availability.

For more information on sponsorship, please contact our sponsorship manager Rich Smalley via email at sponsorship@mainecoast.tv.
