Chris Wolf Show, Featured

You never know when you might need the services of an auctioneer. Perhaps to help settle an estate of family or a friend.  Or maybe to find a special piece of furniture or decorating item. Or perhaps to go watch as an interesting experience.

At the top of the list in auctioneers in Maine is Kaja Veilleux.  Even if you’ve never been to an auction, you’ve probably heard about him. And if some day you need the services of an auctioneer, he might be one to consider. On Wednesday, May 11, 2016 The Chris Wolf Show, you’ll get to hear a lot about Kaja and what he does when he’s our special guest.

Kaja Veilleux, founder and owner of Thomaston Place Auction Galleries, has over 35 years of experience in the art and antiques business.  He is a licensed auctioneer and professional appraiser, and he is considered by many to be a leader in the New England estate auction field because of the discreet and professional service he provides to his clients.

Under the direction of Mr. Veilleux, Thomaston Place Auction Galleries has earned the respect of dealers, collectors, and museums around the world because of its ongoing success in discovering and presenting outstanding fine art and antiques to this discerning audience. Their full service approach to guiding consignors through the auction process has resulted in an expanding base of families and institutions who entrust their treasures to them.

Mr. Veilleux is the original creator of the Free Appraisal Day concept – a day each week when people can bring their heirlooms and precious possessions to his auction gallery for a free valuation.  He also travels extensively throughout northern New England to conduct “house calls”, or in-home appraisals of art and antiques.

He donates significant time and resources throughout the year to support not-for-profit organizations.  He accomplishes this by serving as auctioneer for fundraising auctions and by implementing appraisal fundraiser events using Thomaston Place Auction Galleries’ unique Mobile Appraisal Coach.
