[Thomaston] – Get ready for a morning filled with magic and excitement as Portland Stage presents “Play Me a Story” at Watts Hall Community Arts in Thomaston on Saturday, April 13th, from 10:00 am to 11:15 am.
This captivating event kicks off at 10:00 am with a dramatic reading of cherished children’s tales. From “The Spectacular Suit” by Kat Patrick to “Nervous Nigel” by Bethany Christou, and from “Mr. S” by Monica Arnaldo to “All the World” by Liz Garton Scanlon, each story celebrates the uniqueness of individuals and the power of choice in self-expression.
Immediately following the reading, kids aged 4 to 10 are invited to participate in an interactive acting workshop led by Portland Stage’s Education Artists. This engaging session aims to kindle literacy, nurture creativity, and ignite the dramatic dreams of young participants.
