Dear Friends,
As I did at this time last year, I am treating myself to a bit of downtime…both in honor of Mother’s Day and giving myself some time aboard RAVEN to get her spiffed up for the season ahead.
So, to that end I am recycling this “hug from Maine” from a year ago but it comes from the collective heart here….especially to all you mothers out there.
Reborn by Peter Ralston
And to you, Dear Mothers, my extra little gift for you today…..three favorite lines from my lifelong collection of quotes.
I take each one very much to heart and with a good share of near-reverential humor. In my own case, I see the last two as very much related!
An ounce of mother is worth a pound of clergy. – Spanish proverb
The heart of a mother is a deep abyss, at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness. – Honore de Balzac
My mother had a great deal of trouble with me, but I think she enjoyed it. – Mark Twain
with a hug from Maine for all of you, and cheers,
Peter
