Maine Lobster Festival “Big Parade” 2019
Watch the Big Parade from the Maine Lobster Festival held at Rockland, Maine on August 3, 2019.
The theme of the parade this year is “Community : At the Heart of It All”, and the Grand Marshalls were all the men and women who served in any branch of the military, and the parade was full of many groups marching or riding representing the Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard, with representation of the Honor Flight program and the Patriot Guard Riders .In addition there were numerous floats relating to the “Community” theme, bands, Sea Princesses, Sea Goddesses & King Neptune, antique cars, and much, much more.

The Coronation festivities include the introduction of King Neptune and his Court, the Coronation Committee Judges, officers from the Rockland Coast Guard Station , Sea Goddesses from past years, other representatives of Maine pageants, and live musical presentations.

The Owls Head Transportation Museum is a jewel right in our backyard that we sometimes forget we have. They have amazing exhibits and events all about transportation, each year better than the last. Air shows, truck and tractor shows, antique vehicle auctions, all types of planes, cars, carriages and other vehicles to see and sometimes experience.
What a great way to spend a rainy, or sunny, day with family guests or friends.
