This is Vintage Girls Basketball Game # 18 between the Camden Hills Windjammers and the Rockland Tigers. This double overtime game was played at the new Camden Hills gymnasium on 2/6/2001. This was the last regular season game of 2001 ( parents’ night). Coach Jay Carlsen’s Windjammer starters were Charlotte Croce, Corinna Russo, Anna Goodale, Lauren Withey, and Toni-Lynn Robbins. The starters for Coach Karen Bickmore’s Tigers were Caitlyn Grant, Jody Fornier, Stacy Marcotte, Kassi Moore, and Lindsay Grant.

Vintage Game # 17 is the 1999 Class B Boys KVAC Championship between the Windjammers of Camden-Rockport and the Eagles of Erskine Academy, played at the Augusta Civic Center. Coach Jeff Hart’s Windjammer starters were Tory King, Tim Marden, Nathan Neville, Jim Wilson, and Jon Moro. The starters for Coach Bonsant’s Eagles were Jason Bartlett, Jason Wescott, Dillon Koontz, Brad Stout, and McKeen Singleton.

Vintage Basketball Game # 16 is the 1999 Class B Girls KVAC Championship between the Windjammers of Camden-Rockport and the Eagles of Erskine Academy, played at the Augusta Civic Center. The National Anthem was sung by Camden-Rockport’s Richard Hyssong. Coach Jay Carlsen’s Windjammer starters were Megan Cressler, Sarah Dailey, Megan Bedford, and Becca Neville, and Deidre Beveridge The starters for Coach Scott Corey’s Eagles were Amber Castle, Jo Farrington, Heather Haskell, Jennifer Nord, and Emily Willabee. ( please let us know if any of these names are misspelled, and we only had audio to go by for the names when we digitized the games). This game will be available later today on the Maine Coast TV website. At the conclusion of this game, stay tuned for the KVAC Athletic, Academic, and Coach Awards for all teams in the KVAC.

Coach Jay Carlsen’s Windjammer starters were Megan Cressler, Eliza Magro, Sarah Dailey, Megan Bedford, and Becca Neville. The starters for MCI were Katie Baker, Amanda Leavitt,, Diana Hodges, Jan Cutrell, and Meredith Suchi. The broadcasters for this game were Charlie Crockett and Jon Duke, who was then a junior at Universty of Maine at Orono.

Watch this Vintage Maine Boys High School basketball game # 13 between the Windjammers of Camden-Rockport and the Tigers of Belfast. This game was played at Camden-Rockport in February 1992. The Windjammers were led by Coach Jeff Hart and the starting players were Matt Cook, Allen Tolman, Sam Mazzeo, Mike Geisler, and TJ Hoffman. The Tigers were led by Coach Butch Richards and the starting players were Kurt Payson, Jake Holmes, Alby Salvatore, John Cox, and Tim Morse. Enjoy! At Power with Herself

A half block west of Rockland’s Main St. on Summer St, you would see Dr. Theriault’s long-standing dental office, though he just retired. Chandni Mahajan bought the practice and set up shop using his same dental and office staff. “I wanted a practice in a small town,” she told me, “with a close small-town community.”

What with the virus scourging the town, I observed that it must be a challenge opening a practice at this time. She agreed.
