Peter Zeihan: China and Semiconductors

In the midst of what’s going on in Ukraine, there are also a lot of changes being made in China and it’s relationship with the rest of the world.

In today’s video, Peter will explain what’s happening in China, particularly in the semiconductor industry much of which they supply and we are dependent upon.

As always, this will be extremely interesting and informative with no political bias.

Inflation Is Real!

Inflation Is Real!

Inflation seems to be going to unbelievable heights. Not too long ago this table at Home Depot would have been around $49. Perhaps instead of the stock market, buying picnic tables would've been a better investment! 🙄

Peter Zeihan: Kerch Bridge Explosion and Russian Refueling Logistics

Peter Zeihan: Kerch Bridge Explosion and Russian Refueling Logistics

The Kerch Bridge from Russia to the Crimean Peninsula suffered a major blast/explosion October 8.

Even if trucks can still–slowly–make the journey, trucked fuel supplies are smaller, slower, and more vulnerable than the rail routes Moscow had previously relied on. All of which sets up an interesting set of opportunities for the Ukrainians. If Kyiv ever had a window of opportunity to push hard against Russian forces in southern Ukraine, that time would be now.

2022 Maine Lobster Festival Parade

2022 Maine Lobster Festival Parade

Watch this video of the Maine Lobster Festival Parade, celebrating the 75th year of the Festival. The Grand Marshalls of the parade this year were the 2022 State Championship Teams from three local high schools – Oceanside’s Girls Basketball Team, Camden Hills’ Girls Swim team, and Medomak Valley’s Cheering Team. Also recognized was the 2020 Parade Grand Marshal – Rockland’s “Maine Lobster Lady” – 102 Year Old Virginia Oliver, escorted by a vehicle from the Owls Head Transportation Museum. The 2020 Parade was cancelled due to COVID, so Virginia Oliver finally had her chance this year to ride in the parade. The retiring King Neptune, portrayed for many years by Brian Messing, had his last ride on the Sea Goddess float, which he had personally redesigned and redecorated for this year’s parade. For many years Brian has portrayed the pirate Blackbeard and more recently King Neptune, walking the Festival Grounds and delighting the festival attendees. We thank him and the many other volunteers who make the Lobster Festival a success every year.
